This month, our Conifer Chamber family has the incredible opportunity to rally around one of our own.
On May 26, 2026, Conifer Chamber member James Craig will be donating a kidney to Mark Linne in a life-changing act of generosity and friendship.
While the Platte Canyon Chamber is focusing support around Mark and his family, the Conifer Chamber would love to surround James, Ginny, and their family with encouragement, meals, gift cards, prayers, friendship, and practical support during recovery (including some help with moving furniture on 5/30). And truly, we are happy to help support both families however we can.
A few amazing facts about living kidney donation:
One healthy kidney can fully support a normal, healthy life.
Living donor transplants often last longer and work sooner than deceased donor transplants.
Most living donors are back to many normal activities within 4–6 weeks.
Donors go through extensive medical testing to ensure donation is safe for them.
One donor can dramatically improve — and even save — another person’s life. ([National Kidney Foundation](https://www.kidney.org/kidney.../becoming-living-donor...))After surgery, James and Ginny will need to stay “down the hill” temporarily so they remain close to the hospital during recovery. We know our mountain community shows up in big ways, and this is one of those moments where kindness matters most.
For the Craig family:
Gluten-free meals are appreciated
No red meat, pleaseHere is the Meal Train link https://mealtrain.com/wn4qyw for anyone who would like to help with meals, gift cards, lodging support, or encouragement.
Please join us in lifting up both the Craig and Linne families as they walk through this remarkable journey of courage, healing, and generosity.
This is what community looks like. We got you.
