Community Volunteers Needed for Clean-Up Project This Weekend!

Community Volunteers Needed for Pine Clean-Up Project Supporting Longtime Resident

Conifer, CO — Women in Construction (WINC) https://www.winccolorado.com/ is calling on the Conifer and Foothill communities to come together for a special volunteer clean-up effort this weekend to help longtime Pine resident Jon, 81, remain safely in the home he has loved since the 1970s.

The volunteer clean-up days mark the launch of WINC’s 2026 Volunteer Construction Projects and are part of a much larger community restoration effort already underway. With support from local organizations, contractors, and volunteers, the project aims to improve the safety and livability of Jon’s property while preserving his ability to age in place.

“This project is about more than debris removal,” said organizers. “It is about neighbors helping neighbors and showing what community truly looks like.”

Volunteers are needed Saturday and Sunday to assist with:
• Removing three damaged greenhouse/shelter structures
• Removing one trailer
• Stacking Fire Wood, that will be cut by Elevated Fire Mitigation
• Loading debris into dumpsters
• General exterior property clean-up

The effort follows the recent installation of a new roof on May 12, with additional improvements planned in the coming months with the Good Neighbor Project, including:
• A new stove/heater installation
• Interior clean-out
• Deck repairs
• A special surprise project for Jon

All ages are welcome to volunteer. Organizers are also seeking donations of food, drinks, and supplies for volunteers working throughout the weekend.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring:
• Gloves
• Sunscreen
• Water bottles
• Work clothes and closed-toe shoes

A Community Volunteer Thank You Party for all volunteers will be held on Sunday, May 24 at 2:30 p.m!

Community partners supporting this project include: WINC, Community Nest, MMAR, Mountain Women in Business (MWinB), Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce (CACC), South Platte Services, and Elevated Fire Mitigation.

Registration is required and the project address will be shared after sign-up:
