The Women in Construction Network (WINC), in partnership with Handyman Connection of Golden, announced today that applications are open for the 2026 community volunteer construction projects. Two build windows are scheduled: Spring (March/April 2026) and Fall (September/October 2026). Projects selected will receive coordinated volunteer labor, tools, and licensed/insured supervision to complete high-impact repairs and improvements in the mountain area. “WINC’s builds are where skilled tradeswomen, local volunteers, and community partners come together to make visible, lasting change,” said Docia, owner of Handyman Connection of Golden. “If you know a nonprofit, community space, or a neighbor who needs essential repairs or accessibility upgrades, send them our way—we got you.”
Eligible Projects
WINC and Handyman Connection are seeking 1–2 day projects that emphasize safety, accessibility, and community benefit, such as: wheelchair ramps and handrails, interior/exterior painting, flooring or drywall repair, deck repair, privacy fencing, minor carpentry, landscaping/cleanups, and garden build-outs. Preference is given to projects where recipients can contribute toward materials, helping volunteer resources stretch further.
