Shavuot – A Celebration of Learning

Free and open to the community
Shavuot, the Jewish holiday marking the giving of the Torah, is traditionally a time to learn. To celebrate, Congregation Beth Evergreen will offer a selection of rich and varied sessions from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 12. Drop by the synagogue, 2981 Bergen Peak Drive, Evergreen, for a few or all of the sessions and enjoy teachings, storytelling, remembrance, music and food. The event is free and open to the community.

2 p.m. Kabbalah Yoga, Rabbi Jamie Arnold
3 p.m. Mindfulness Meditation, Steve Mains
4 p.m. Tai Chi, Charles Holman
5 p.m. Writing as Spiritual Practice, Ron Solomon
6 p.m. Dream Interpretation, Irene Clurman
* Sessions run for 50 minutes with a ten-minute break between each one.
There will also be storytelling from 5 to 7 p.m. with storytellers Joanne Greenberg, Rebecca Martin, Steve Posner and Ron Solomon offering rotating 15-minute sessions.
