About Us

Sam was an avid mountain biker, Colorado native, and all-around awesome guy. He passed away in 2021, just shy of his 21st birthday, after a 15-month-long battle with Ewing sarcoma. When he learned that his cancer could not be cured, Sam created a bucket list of adventures to enjoy with his family. but not only did he want to make the most of his remaining days, he also wanted to help others, so he spent his final months working on key Ewing sarcoma awareness projects. Including his short film ''Sam's Story'' (linked below) and the SAMDURO, an enduro mountain bike race.

In his memory, the Schneider family established the Sam Schneider Legacy, a fund benefiting CureSearch for Children’s Cancer, to ensure his legacy would live on. Our mission is to raise funds for Ewing sarcoma research, raise awareness for Ewing sarcoma and pediatric cancers, provide education for medical professionals, and tell Sam's story.

Every dollar we raise supports innovative research that will find better treatments and cures for the deadliest cancers, including Ewing sarcoma. We believe every child with cancer deserves a safe, effective treatment option.
