Executive Director
Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce
The Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and mission-driven Executive Director to lead our organization and serve as a champion for local businesses and the broader foothills community.
The Executive Director will encourage, develop, promote, and protect the general business interests of the area while helping create a thriving business community through meaningful connections, business growth opportunities, collaboration, education, and advocacy. This position reports directly to the Board of Directors.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a strong, relationship-focused leader who understands how small businesses operate and is passionate about helping them succeed. The ideal candidate will be able to create and foster a positive, welcoming, and collaborative environment for members, volunteers, community partners, and the public.

• Financially responsible and capable of working within and maintaining a budget
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Google Workspace, Canva, social media marketing, and CRM management
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Chamber
• Recruit, retain, engage, and support Chamber members
• Build strong relationships with businesses, community partners, sponsors, and volunteers
• Develop and manage marketing, communications, newsletters, press releases, social media, and community content
• Coordinate Chamber meetings, networking events, ribbon cuttings, workshops, and special events
• Develop sponsorships, marketing opportunities, and other revenue-generating programs
• Manage the Chamber's budget, financial records, CRM, membership database, and administrative systems
• Lead and support Chamber committees, ambassadors, volunteers, and community initiatives
• Represent and advocate for local businesses throughout the foothills community
• Work with the Board of Directors to implement organizational goals and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
• Minimum of two years of post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience
• Experience in business, customer service, sales, membership organizations, nonprofit management, or a related field
• Experience with fundraising, sponsorships, or revenue development
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills
• Experience with CRM or membership management software
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Experience managing budgets and financial records preferred
• Experience owning or operating a small business, working with a nonprofit, or leading volunteers preferred
• Familiarity with the foothills community, must live in the Conifer Area currently or move here within 6 months.
The position requires a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and outdoor community events. Local travel is required. Salary is $65,000 per year. You can view the full job description here
