Office Manager

Seeking professional, well organized, self-starting office manager for a busy CPA practice. Candidate must possess the ability to perform a variety of tasks efficiently and desire a long- term position.
This position is the first impression of our practice, therefore the candidate must possess:

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, telephone, professional appearance)
  • Energetic and outgoing with a positive attitude

  • Thorough understanding of income tax return preparation process

  • Team player ( you will be working closely with at least one other person in the front office position)
The primary responsibilities will be as the 1) communication liaison between the client and the CPA, 2) work flow organization, 3) processing tax returns and 4) maintenance of client records. The position will report directly to the principles.
Other responsibilities include:
  • Office administration tasks, such as: ordering office and kitchen supplies, library updates, digital and paper filing, client mailings, maintaining office equipment (Copiers, Pitney Bowes, etc.).
  • Maintaining due-date lists and client work-flow schedules
  • Working on special projects
  • Light kitchen housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills and Technical Knowledge Required:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of computers and office management software, including Microsoft Office, ACT, document management systems ; I-Contact and social media a plus
We are looking for someone who sees themselves and the position as part of a client service team. 40 hours per week with overtime/weekends required during peak seasons. Benefits are available after 60 days.
