LIVING HISTORY DAYS at Staunton State Park celebrates not only the park's history but the second anniversary of the opening of this, Colorado's newest state park!
COME BY on SATURDAY MAY 16 and SUNDAY MAY 17th between 10:00am and 4:00pm and join the fun! There will be
-history exhibits and local Historical Societies
- guided hikes,
- historical log cabin building demonstrations,
- live olde time music with Rex Rideout
- johnny cake and lemonade making,
-a family scavenger hunt,
-re-creations of stories from the homesteading days (including Opera!)
-a SUPER treasure hunt for the Reynold's Gang Treasure for the kids,
-crafts and family games
- and more
Guided Staunton History hikes start at Staunton Ranch Trailhead at the upper parking areas at 10am and 2pm
Mystery History Hikes leave at the same location at 11am and 1:00pm
There are still over 22 miles of hiking and horse riding trails and mountain biking, rock climbing, fishing at the ponds, a self-guided Nature trail, birding guides and much more.
Don't miss the Living History Days fun, the fabulous views and the start of a wonderful wildflower season.
