Session 1 will be a webinar on Wednesday March 18 from 12pm -1.30pm and session 2 will be at the Conifer public library on Thursday March 26th from 4pm to 6pm. March 11th - Steps To Financial Freedom: an introduction to the building blocks of a sound financial plan- from risk management & investments to retirement & estate planning. Leverage the role of insurance vehicles as key tools for risk mitigation and also protecting your social security income from excess taxation- In addition to property insurance & Car insurance, why is it important to look at life insurance, health insurance, long term disability coverage, Long term care insurance when creating a risk protection strategy. Tax payers – whether single, married, divorced, widow/ widowers as well as business owners need to focus on unique financial challenges and risk exposures by creating a roadmap to financial wellbeing. Attendees will also learn to discern between different types of financial advisors and the importance of working with a Certified Financial Planner professional as your fiduciary. Consider retirement vehicles on a pretax and post-tax basis for individuals and business owners and how long term care planning can be critical to protect your hard earned savings & assets. This workshop will conclude with some basic estate planning tips.
March 25th - Understanding Insurance as a key foundation of a good financial plan: Life insurance, Health insurance, P&C, Disability insurance & Long term care insurance and how to use your group benefits. Difference between an HSA (Health Saving Account) and an FSA (Flexible savings account). Are you saying no to free group benefits from your employer or are you leaving free retirement Dollars on the table by not contributing to a qualified plan?
April 8th - Planning for a Tax free Retirement: Plan for your golden years using proven strategies to reduce taxes, manage risk and ensure that you do not outlive your retirement income. Common myths about retirement assets & the role of long term care planning. Tax Tips to put more money in your pocket and how insurance
vehicles can be designed using personal or business tax dollars to mitigate taxation to increase net income in your bank account!
April 22nd - Social Security Benefits Planning: avoiding tax pitfalls and taking key steps today to draw out maximum income during retirement. This workshop will cover key strategies to optimize Social Security income; avoiding common & costly mistakes when applying for benefits, minimizing taxes in retirement and on SS benefits; Supplementing SS with tax efficient investment options to ensure your retirement is fully funded and leveraging insurance vehicles to rebalance your investment portfolio and trigger less taxation of this income stream.
May 6th - Planning for Long term care: a critical firewall for your retirement assets and estate planning goals. Do you only need this type of you care after age 65 or can a 20 year need it too? Understand the difference between LTC planning versus LTC insurance which is just one solution in this conversation. By what age should you start planning for these events? What resources does CO state provide and what type of resources and coverage is available at the federal level. Do you think Medicare covers this?
May 20th - Women & Wealth: key issues women need to focus on when creating a financial plan- with a special segment on divorce planning. Learn how to become an engaged, informed & empowered decision maker when it comes to your personal financial wellbeing.
