ChristmasFest is an annual community favorite at St. Laurence Episcopal Church and this year, for the first time, local artisans will be adding their wonderful work to the wide array of holiday offerings. Also new this year and guaranteed not to disappoint is the "preserves corner" loaded with homemade jams, jellies and tasty sauces. Granny's pantry famously puts out a spread of incredibly delectable desserts among the homemade breads, brownies, cakes, pies and other pastries. Just walking through the door is enough to whet your apetite with sensational smells wafting through the air from the cafe where visitors can get their fill of traditional favorites like hot apple cider, smothered (or unsmothered breakfast burritos), green chili, potato cheese ham soup, wild rice soup (the recipes are parish secrets) and so much more. Don't forget the homemade chocolates, another new item this year!
Park the kids at the new Holiday Mail for Heroes tables and shop 'til you drop for unique non-holiday and holiday decorations, including customized ornaments. Don't forget to sign a card for our troops yourself to send with cards from the kids to the American Red Cross for distribution.
