Jane Stewart, board member and Chair of Education for Sculpture Evergreen (formerly Art for the Mountain Community) will present a lively, interactive sculpture presentation. It will include a 9-minute, visual-with-music review of all the permanent sculptures installed by Sculpture Evergreen in the greater Evergreen community, a quick preview of its newest permanent sculpture -- Wulf Winds, and an overview of its 2014-15 Sculpture Walk pieces. Light refreshments will be provided during the lecture and guests are welcome to bring their lunch. If weather permits, please feel free to stay afterward for a short walking tour of Sculpture Evergreen's sculptures nearby, including ?Reverse Prometheus,? a rocket sculpture that combines an old water tank covered in aluminum plate with steam radiators and motor parts, sand blasted and painted with hi-test automotive paint, and all put together with no welding! And if after the presentation, you are interested in learning more, you may sign up for a sculpture bus tour or for a downtown walking tour of the 2014-2015 Sculpture Walk pieces later in the spring. You may also visit the website mountainart.org to sign up for a tour and to find out more about the organization and its sculptures.
