\n\nYouth Mental Health First Aid is an interactive eight-hour course that presents an overview of mental illness and substance use disorders in the U.S. and introduces participants to risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems\, builds understanding of their impact\, and overviews common treatments.
\n\nThe curriculum includes access to a two hour self-paced course\, and a six hour live (plus lunch and breaks) interactive virtual session led by certified Mental Health First Aid Instructors.
\n\nTo attend a class you must:
\n\n? Complete the self-paced course prior to the scheduled virtual class. You can expect to receive instructions via email for creating your online account and completing the required prework 1-2 weeks prior to the class start date.
\n\n? Have access to a webcam and microphone on your device.
\n\n? A valid email address in order to receive materials and log in.
