The meeting this quarter is being hosted by the Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce.  \n\n\n\n January's Topic: Telling a Compelling Story\n\nHow do you tell the story of your nonprofit in a compelling way to build your donor and volunteer base? How do you reach the right audience with the right message? In this practical\, interactive workshop\, we will explore ways to effectively promote your organization to accomplish your goals. We will discuss what's working for you now and how you can improve your messaging and reach. With hands-on practice\, you'll learn the basics of developing a comprehensive communications plan. \n\n \n\nPresented by:  Marilyn Saltzman has worked as a journalist and served as manager in the Jeffco Schools Communications Services Department for 20 years. Since retiring\, Marilyn has been a public relations consultant and adjunct professor at Colorado State University. An avid volunteer who strongly values serving her community\, Marilyn has taken leadership roles with numerous nonprofit organizations including Mountain Resource Center\; Conifer Area Council\; the Denver Affiliate\, Susan G. Komen\; Jeffco Good News Coalition\; Congregation Beth Evergreen\; and Colorado Press Women. Marilyn writes a regular blog and has authored/co-authored several award-winning non-fiction books.
