DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, December 2 at Buchanan Recreation Center\, Mountain Area Land Trust presents John Fielder.  John Fielder is a nationally renowned nature photographer\, publisher\, teacher\, and preservationist.  Fielder has worked tirelessly to promote the protection of Colorado's open space and wildlands.  His photography has influenced people and legislation earning him recognition including the Sierra Club's Ansel Adams Award\, the University of Denver?s Daniel L. Ritchie Award\, and the Distinguished Service Award from the University of Colorado.  John?s Ranches of Colorado presentation will consist of stories about his photographing 50 multi-generational ranches and his experiences working with these remarkable people.  Please join us from 6-6:45 p.m. for a VIP reception with John.  Tickets are $30 per person which includes appetizers and beverages.  Doors open to the public at 6:45 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m.  For the presentation only\, tickets are $15 per person.  Many of John?s books and calendars will be available for sale and there will be an opportunity for John sign them.
