She taught public relations for graduate students as an adjunct professor at Colorado State University. An active volunteer in the community\, she serves as secretary of the Conifer Area Council and as a Mountain Resource Center board member. She was previously president of numerous nonprofit boards including Congregation Beth Evergreen\; Mountain Resource Center\; Denver affiliate\, Susan G. Komen Foundation\; Jeffco Good News Coalition\; Colorado Press Women\; and the Colorado Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association.
